You know it! Taken from the majestic Kaikaite falls on the day of my Irish lads departure, this picture could easily be the poster representing the peak of summer. The falls are only about 10 minutes away from my place and I have only been there once cause its that hard to leave the beach.  Posted by Picasa

Summer's back!

The sweet warm air of summer time is revisiting my beach paradise and I couldn't be happier about it. We had like a week and a half long cold spell that I thought had ended my beloved summer, but now its back and along with it are my glorious days of sitting on the beach interupted only by a periodic game of fetch with Gus or a bit of a paddle in the waves. Its a rough life here in the south pacific...

Interesting

It dawned on me a couple of dias ago that I have not drunk from a water fountain in quite some time. For whatever reason the kiwis have not discovered the phenomenon of the drinking fountain...strange.

On the move...

As I rapidly approach my departure date from this place that I have enjoyed calling my home for the past 4 months or so, the thought of traveling has me wonderfully excited. Just purchased a plane ticket that lands in Brisbane, Australia on the 1st of May. From there I shall slowly make the voyage southward towards the booming metropolis of Sydney, where I meet up with two fresh companions that hail from the land of peaches - and then we will be four. It will be a glorious time indeed as we frolick through the outback mixing it up with those fun-loving ozzies. Then July 6th brings the culture shock that I have been looking for as Thailand is calling my name. With any luck we will make it to a few of the adjacent coutries as well. If things go to plan, departure from Asia will be on the 18th of August, which means I should make it back between the hedges for the first Georgia game at the beginning of September. As a wise man, Clay Pinckard, recently remarked - "Its going to be a festive time indeed!"
