Conrad - I'd have to agree with ya there. The Japanese can be unbelievably racist but you'd never really know it until you've lived here. They definitely seem to think their shit don't stick, ESPECIALLY compared to "the other asians" (chinese, koreans, etc). Foreigners in Japan (mostly other Asians) experience discrimination to the max, in ways that would be jumped on like crazy in the States. Did you know that a baby born to a non-Japanese father isn't considered a Japanese citizen?
